Before the election, I saw a video of grade school children singing Obama’s campaign slogans. Since then, more evidence appears that teachers in public schools are brainwashing our youth with the liberal mantra. There have been reports far and wide that such brainwashing was happening, from children being made to cry if they say something in class with a conservative message, to college students being threatened with low grades if they were conservative.

A case in point, a teacher in the public school system told her room to support Obama on the Tuesday before the election by wearing blue. She did not give those children who were for McCain the opportunity of wearing red.

The most upsetting video, shown on October 7, 2008, was a radical-appearing band of middle-school youth dressed in similar black clothing with an Obama emblem on their shirts. Marching back and forth while clenching their fists and making other warlike motions, they appeared martial in their actions, whiling chanting praises to Obama. In the background was a banner with an Obama insignia on it. It was obvious that that the group had practiced this routine often while they were in a public school during their class, while having their teacher, who was paid for with taxpayer money, drill them. Evidently, the taxpayers never protested using tax money for this purpose.

Continuing to brainwash young Americans with liberal ideology only while not letting conservatives present their philosophy, too, should be the primary concern of educators right now. Why is this? Because examples from history are being forgotten. Do you not remember Hitler’s Youth? Preadolescent boys, about ten years old, were taken into Hitler’s Youth for physical training and warlike arts. The aim of Hitler’s Youth was to teach the boys to hate Jews and to believe in their own Aryan racial domination, and to search out any behavior of their parents that went against Hitler’s ideology and report this to the German Gestapo who often arrested these parents. Similar programs were forced on the girls. The success of Hitler’s Youth is well-known. Hitler formed the basis of his army from his youth group, an army of soldiers unable to form thoughts on their own, and likewise unable to question commands they were given.

Obama is not, however, the main point I am stressing in this educational problem. Obama’s campaign just gave prime examples of indoctrination.

So what is my purpose? We see, more often than not, that a liberal bias is overrunning our school curriculum, overwhelming conservative views, so that American youth learn just one side, and usually it is the liberal aspect. Political correctness out of control is an integral part of liberal brainwashing. Those who risk giving a conservative view often are stuck with a label such as homophobe, sexist, or racist. Labels like these don’t just embarrass the Conservative, but can also damage this student. Most students won’t say anything that brings on this condemnation.

Our educational system needs to present all sides of topics which are important enough to be taught. The public must be alert of any curricula offering one perspective only over others, if taxpayer money in public schools is used.

From preschool through state supported colleges and universities, Conservatives must become more involved in what our schools are teaching. Brainwashing just the liberal side of an issue in public schools must stop. Please give me your opinion on this timely educational matter.
