Poetry and Candy at the Craft Show

Last weekend, we had such a good day at the Cherry Blossom Festival located at the Wooster Square. I am so thankful to our wonderful volunteers: Laura, Pam and Vi Phan, as they were a really big help with regards to meeting and greeting the people coming to our booth. Speaking of which, I would also like to thank all of you who went by our booth to just chat, hang out and talk about upcoming craft shows.

As you may well be aware, the Festival is currently organizing the Favorite Poem Project with the partnership of the Connecticut Library Consortium, and other explosive community groups whose names escape me at the moment. People from the Cherry Blossom Festival have been invited to come over to our booth when Sunday comes. Aspiring poets are to craft their rhymes, recite it on camera. If you’re too shy, you can just copy it onto our poetry journal instead.

To attract a crowd, one of our methods that we will use on Sunday, is to offer people some of the homemade sweets Laura has made. This method has proven effective at catching people’s attention, and as kids and adults will enjoy the sweet treat, we are satisfying both their mental and actual sweet tooth with candies and compositions.

So come on and be a part of it! You may find that you have an inner poet inside of you, who will reveal itself during the event. Go by our table in one of the upcoming fairs and festivals and we’ll see what happens.

For a complete schedule of craft shows in your area, all you have to do is make a casual search on the Internet. These days, it is very easy to find online fliers; and once you know which one you can attend to, we’ll see if we setup a booth there as well.
